COSTA RICA

SHB

A coffee with a rich and personal aroma with citrus fragrance and very fine acidity.

Formats:

  • 1 kg grains

  • 250 g grains / ground

DESCRIPTION

In Costa Rica only Arabica coffee plantations can be found as the state has banned the cultivation of Robusta.

The coffee plant arrived in Costa Rica in the 18th century from Cuba and the Antilles. In particular, the Tarrazu region, with the rainy season between May and November and the dry season between December and April, favored the cultivation of the Arabica Caturra and Catuai varieties.

SHB is an acronym that stands for “Strictly Hard Bean” and indicates coffees grown in others from 1,100 meters upwards.
